1. Having lots of stuff can make you and those around you feel frustrated.

2. Clutter causes you to misplace things. Misplacing things causes you to lose time looking for something or to miss opportunities (due to lost invitations, sale ads, etc.).

3. Not dealing with clutter can cause disagreements with those you live with, if their style of dealing with it is different than yours.

4. Clutter can zap your energy by causing you to be overwhelmed with it.

5. Clutter has a way of keeping us stuck in the past and not dealing with the present or future.

6. Because you are apt to forget or lose things, clutter can make you feel confused.

7. Clutter can make you feel embarrassed when people stop by.

8. Clutter causes you to have a lack of creativity.

9. Planning ahead helps you to save money, because you do not have to pay the full price or pay rush charges.

10. When things are not organized, you forget you already have items and, therefore, you waste money by purchasing duplicates. If you have a specific place for these items, you can check first before going shopping.
