PRAYER – INTIMATELY
What a wonderful life we have, with so many opportunities and occasions to do great things. We have an abundance of choices in our society with a profusion of influences through all types of media.
After the day is done, we look back and assess our choices and decisions. This brings me back to this very personal scripture, where we can come face to face with our REAL GOD... intimately...
Psalm 51:9-11 (Amplified Bible) Hide
Your face from my sins and blot out all my guilt and iniquities. Create
in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right, persevering, and
steadfast spirit within me. Cast me not away from Your presence and take
not Your Holy Spirit from me.
Every day, no matter what has gone on, make it a habit of intimacy between you and the Lord, to draw close to Him again, make right with Him and “draw near”.
When you see a budding romance
between a man and a woman, you notice them “drawing near” to one
another. They want to sit together, talk together, laugh together, etc.
Mark and I love to be close and talk together after being apart. The
Lord loves us far more than we can comprehend, He is always with us. As
we draw near to Him, we stay in good, close relationship with our God.
Don’t
let anything come between you and the Lord. If you’ve taken a road that
is pulling you away from the Lord: stop, turnaround (repent), and run
back to the Lover of your soul, the Lord of All, the Good Shepherd, the Faithful Redeemer. He is waiting for you...
Micah 6:7-8 (Amplified Bible) Will
the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams or with ten thousands of
rivers of oil? Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit
of my body for the sin of my soul? He has showed you, O man, what is
good. And what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, and to
love kindness and mercy, and to humble yourself and walk humbly with
your God?
May we enter and remain in intimacy with the
Lord. Pray these scriptures, meditate on them, and live in close
relationship with the Lover of your soul. Start the day with Jesus ... Live the day with Jesus ... End the day with Jesus!
