Dessert
Grandma's Cream Cheese Frosting
1 ½ c. heavy cream
8 oz. cream cheese
8 oz. Marscapone cheese (at room temp)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 ½ c. powdered sugar, sifted
¼ c. unsalted butter
Blend all ingredients in a large bowl. Beat well. Start off beating slow and gradually go higher.
This is the frosting my Grandmother used on many cakes including carrot, red velvet,
and
Hummingbird
cake. This frosting is gooey and messy, but it is good. She also topped it with coconut and pecans. I always wanted to lick the bowl. Enjoy!
